I do not like to keep “score” but when you are afflicted (ahem blessed!) with child you gotta take your victories/ find motivation where you can!  I wonder how many days I can get in before my next little ShredBetty arrives.  I’m not going to push it if it starts to feel unsafe or unfun, but I am hoping to ski as long as it gives me a feeling of joy.  I have bought new Nordic skis, Classic with a metal edge, for a little more stability, because the good Lord knows I take my hardest falls skating (so that’s pretty much off the table until March or April or next December!).  To quote an old acquaintance, Noel, regarding her pregnancy, “I was going to give up whiskey or skiing.  But not both.”  Amen.
