Monongahela refers both to a tributary of the Ohio River as well as a prohibition-era whiskey product. I’ve only experienced one since my arrival in Morgantown, West Virginia.
You guessed it, another river run! Good fun, but not nearly as coveted by mountain men. West Virginia is marvelous. It is everything you’ve heard it described as and more.
I also discovered a few more things: cheap food and cheap cost of living. These are things I had forgotten about living in the highly coveted mountain west. Another plus includes public service announcements by graffiti artists. Behold.
Such useful things to be reminded of! I’ll keep these things in mind as I interview in the morning. At 5:30 AM I will be thinking, “Wake Up.”
Beautiful pique assiette (broken glass/tile mosaic). Would love to see the whole thing. How big is it?!
