Tonight Joey & I took a study break around 9pm to run around the “neighborhood” we live in– essentially a field on the edge of town juxtaposed next to the hospital’s Emergency Department. You might expect that we would hear sirens throughout the day, but alas this is Great Falls, Montana and relatively few people come in by ambulance. Instead, we get to hear the oscillations of the rotors on the med-evac helicopter which is perched just outside our window! When I hear this noise, I run to the window (usually the wrong one)… so then I run to the only other window, to either see it take off or land. Tonight as we galloped off to exercise we did a run-by of the landing pad where I begged Joe to photograph me in front of our neighborhood bird! The gentleman unloading the helichopper more than likely reported us to the FAA during this endeavor. So we went on our merry way and enjoyed an evening out under the stars.
