I went DEEP garden the past few years. From the Urban Plant Jail to the John Prine Memorial Garden I really poured my heart into the endeavor. However. The time has come to ease upon the reigns a little. I think horticulture got me through a very specific time in my life. I learned the art of seed starting from Jam Jones and really dug it.
I spent my pregnancy raising seedlings, and then my postpartum time building a garden space with my dad that anyone would find themselves lucky to dwell in.
I learned the excitement that can be found in observing life take root. I learned patience. I learned that some things really do shoot up overnight (including children).
I even got my floral tat in celebration of the more delicate and elegant offerings of this world.
Now I find myself ready to invest more time in the mountains and a little less in the field.
